The 10 Best Fall Candles of 2021

The 10 Best Fall Candles of 2021

Posted by Faye on Sep 10th 2021

It’s September which means it’s the convergence of two of our favorite things here at Candles To My Door; Fall and Candles.

Today we’re going to put them together and share ten of our favorite fall candles for 2021. Now, you may be thinking, ‘that’s too many pumpkin candles’ and I hear you.

Pumpkin definitely permeates fall candles. However, this isn’t going to be a blog about all of our pumpkin-scented candles. That’s this other blog I wrote.

Instead, today we are going to focus on a wider array of fall-themed scents. Keep reading to find your new favorite!

WoodWick Spiced Blackberry

I love this candle for fall, not only because of the unique scent but also because of the color. The Spiced Blackberry candle is a beautiful purple that is the perfect complement to both fall and Halloween décor, so it’s a must-have in my books.

The scent is a perfect blend of blackberry, cinnamon, and vanilla, which is a unique profile for fall that sets this candle apart. Additionally, the wooden wick and crackling flames make almost any WoodWick candle a favorite to burn on rainy fall days.

Milkhouse Cabin Fever 22oz Butter Jar Candle

Milkhouse candles are some of our favorites here at Candles To My Door. These candles are made entirely from hand-poured soy wax grown right here in the USA. What’s not to love about that?

The Cabin Fever candle in particular is our pick for fall 2021, specifically because it’s not overly sweet. Sweet candles have their place, but for anyone who doesn’t like those scents, Cabin Fever is a fantastic fall candle.

This candle features a warm, woodsy scent with a hint of spice that is a perfect complement to chilly, rainy afternoons inside the house. And with up to 130 hours of burn time, you have many cozy afternoons ahead of you if you grab this one up.

Tyler Mull Cider 22oz Candle

Tyler candles are known for being rich and luxurious and the Mulled Cider candle is no exception. This scent blends apples, citrus, cinnamon, and clove to smell like the perfect home-mulled apple cider.

It puts me in the mood to whip up a batch of homemade cider myself, which is the mark of any good fall candle.

The other reason we love this candle is that, at 22oz, it burns for up to 130 hours. That means months of enjoyment from a single jar.

McCall’s Apples & Pumpkins 18oz Candle

A meeting of the two titans of fall, the McCall’s Apples & Pumpkins candle is a must-have. The blend of apples, pumpkin, clove, nutmeg, cedarwood, and vanilla is the perfect autumnal candle concoction.

Additionally, this candle is part of the McCall’s Indulgence line and comes in a simple, unlabeled jar that gives it a rustic aesthetic.

While this candle may be smaller than the others we’ve mentioned so far it burns just as long, with a run time of up to 130 hours.

Swan Creek Cinnamon Hazelnut Latte 24oz Homespun Candle

Do you love the smell of coffee? We do too, which is why the Cinnamon Hazelnut Latte ended up on our fall candle list. Additionally, it’s made by one of our favorite companies, Swan Creek.

Swan Creek hand-pours its candles in the USA and uses 100% soy wax. We love it when sustainability is mixed with high-quality products.

This candle is ideal for those who love coffee or those who just love the smell of it!

Himalayan Bourbon Vanilla 22oz Forged Blacksmith Bowl Candle

Not only does this candle smell like fall, it looks like fall. The black, iron bowl is one of a kind and will perfectly complement any décor style, from rustic to modern.

This combination of beauty and functionality made this candle a must-have for us this year.

The warm scent of bourbon and vanilla combined with amber musk is a must-have fall scent. At 22oz, this candle can burn for up to 30 hours.

However, the bowl is reusable, so you can refill it with more candle wax, or use it as a décor item long after the candle has burned down.

Colonial Candle Pumpkin Shortbread 14oz Candle

The one you’ve all been waiting for, here’s our one, pure pumpkin submission for the fall candles list. This pumpkin candle is part of the Colonial M. Baker line and comes in a charming jar with a vintage label.

Unlike the traditional blends of pumpkin and cinnamon, or pumpkin and nutmeg, this candle scent is a mixture of caramel, shortbread, and cinnamon making this a unique pumpkin blend, which is why we had to add it to our list.

At 14 oz., this candle burns for about 60 hours.

McCall’s Autumn Leaves 22oz Candle

Rustic? Check. Cinnamon and hazelnut scent? Check. Long burn time? Check. This McCall’s candle checks all the boxes for a perfect fall candle.

The autumn leaves scent blends hazelnut, cinnamon, sugar, maple, and ginger to a rich fall scent. This, in combination with the rustic, simple jar make this candle a must-have for this fall.

This 18oz candle burns for up to 130 hours so you will have many hours of enjoyment ahead.

Warm Glow Nutmeg & Cream Chutney Hearth Candle

We like things that are unique, and if you can say anything about Warm Glow candles, it’s that they are unique. These hand-dipped candles feature a bumpy texture that is on full display as it doesn’t come in a jar.

Between this rustic look and the rich apple scent, we had to put this candle on our list.

If that wasn’t enough, this candle can burn for an impressive 150 hours. This makes it a great option for those wanting to have a good smelling home and those who want a backup in the event of a power outage.

Candleberry Fall Festival 26oz Candle

Do you want three candles in one? We do! That’s why we put the Fall Festival 26oz candle on our list. This layered candle features the scent of sweet potato pie, buttercream cake, and candle apple in that order.

With up to 160 hours of burn time, you can enjoy this candle for months with ease.

Final Thoughts

We love candles, (I mean, look at our name) but there is something special about fall candles. Perhaps it’s just the aesthetic of lighting a candle on a grey fall day. Perhaps it’s because in cooler weather we enjoy lighting candles more.

Either way, we hope you have enjoyed this list of fall candles and maybe found a new favorite scent for 2021.

We’ll see you next week,
