To return an item, you need to obtain an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number. To request an RMA number please email or call our customer service department (Contact Information at the bottom of this page). Issuance of an RMA number does not guarantee final disposition and all returns are subject to inspection. RMA numbers are valid for ten days.
Place the original package into a shipping carton.
Include the invoice and the reason for the return. If defective, please specify the defect.
Please do not place stickers or shipping labels on the original manufacturer’s package.
The RMA number must be written clearly on the shipping carton to prevent refusal.
Once items is received and verified will then be available for a refund per our outlined policies.
If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you may return it for a refund within 30 days from shipping from our warehouse (excluding shipping and handling charges).
Returns are subject to a Return Merchandise Authorization from The Lamp Stand. The cost of shipping will be deducted from your total refund. You can request an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number by calling The Lamp Stand. Some items on TheLampStand.com may be considered special items and may have a limited return policy (please see the Special Orders section below). All purchases, accessories, serial-numbered security tags (if provided), and packing materials must be in new condition to avoid refusal of the returned merchandise or restocking fees.
Currently, we do not offer exchanges on products. All Products will be processed as returns following the return policy.
All returned items must be:
Receive an RMA Number within 30 Days of the item shipping from our warehouse.
Returned within 10 Days of receipt of RMA Number.
In new condition.
In their original packaging.
Items such as food, beverages, candles, fragrance spray, and fragrance lamp oils that have been used when returned will not be refunded.
Must include all packing material, blank warranty cards, manuals, and accessories.
Ship via insured ground service (USPS, FedEx or UPS) with a tracking number. Return shipping charges are the responsibility of the customer. We will gladly issue a return shipping label and deduct the shipping charges from your refund. We are not responsible for lost or damaged packages.
We reserve the right to refuse any return if there are:
Any signs of wear.
Parts of the item are missing.
The item does not include an RMA number assigned by The Lamp Stand
The product arrives after the proscribed return period as outlined in our return policy
The incorrect product is returned
If there are any noticeable discrepancies or damages when receiving your purchase, or if the wrong item was delivered, please refer to the What to do if there is a discrepancy with your order.
Items under $350 USD do not have a restocking fee.
Select items sold on TheLampStand.com may be considered a "Special Order" and subject to a limited return policy. A "Special Order" may be:
Items that we do not have in the warehouse and noted “Special Order” on product listing.
Items that we do not have listed on our website that are specially ordered from our distributor.
All orders that have a sale price equal to or greater than $350.
The return of these items/orders will have a restocking fee of 8% or final sale policies unless otherwise agreed by the TheLampStand.com staff via mail, fax, or e-mail.
What to do if there is a discrepancy with your order
If there are any noticeable discrepancies with your order or if the item delivered is the wrong item, please contact The Lamp Stand to make any necessary corrections. Product discrepancies not notified to The Lamp Stand within 5 days may not be eligible for replacement. Please do not use items that you believe are incorrect as it may void our ability to exchange or replace the items. Please contact us within 5 days of receiving your shipment if your item is defective. You may be asked to provide photographs of the discrepant item(s) to help us better assist you.
Return Shipping for orders with a discrepancy
We may provide return shipping if we made a mistake with your order. Return shipping labels will be provided via email. Please print the label and tape it to the shipping carton. In such cases, we will not reimburse or refund shipping charges if you choose not to use our shipping label.

Our standard Super Saver shipping option is through a combination of FedEx Ground and USPS and takes approximately 1-12 business days within the Continental United States. Orders ship out Monday - Friday
Your complete order is important to us and we know you have taken time to pick out your items. In the unfortunate event an item is out of stock on your order due to an inventory error, we will contact you via email and/or phone to try to substitute or replace the out of stock item. If we do not hear from you within a 10-business day period, we will remove the out of stock item from your order and ship the remaining items. If your order qualified for free shipping, we would honor the free shipping if the out of stock item drops your order total below the free shipping threshold.
Special order items included within GG Collection, Christopher Radko, LeCadeaux, Scout, Jay Strongwater, Royal Albert, Royal Doulton, Wedgwood and Waterford are ordered especially for you and usually take 2-3 weeks to arrive.
Special order items listed as backordered may still be purchased. Your entire order will be held until all the items arrive.
Drop Ship order items included within Golden Rabbit, Aidan Gray, Arte Italica, Arthur Court, Vagabond House, Bella Toscana, Deco Breeze, Juliska, Match Pewter, Mariposa, Pimpernel, Portmerion, Spode, Vietri, Cat Studio, Intrada, SPI Home and Sugarboo are ordered especially for you and drop shipped directly to you from the manufacturer. Intrada, SPI Home and Sugarboo may take extra weeks to arrive.
During periods of extreme heat across the country, we reserve the right to hold CANDLE orders placed towards the end of a work week if it is necessary to do so to avoid candles melting in transit. In these rare cases, orders will be shipped the following Monday .
Tracking numbers for Priority Ground services and Express services are automatically emailed within 24 hours after an order ships.
Unfortunately, at this time, we cannot ship to Canada, Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, APO/FPO addresses and P.O. Boxes.
Note: If your order was shipped Priority Ground and you need to modify your address after your order has been shipped, a $13.00 rerouting fee will be charged as this is the amount FedEx charges us. Orders shipped through other methods (USPS or FedEx Smartpost) can not be rerouted per Post Office regulations.Please Note: We do not ship internationally and our orders are not packaged to withstand the long journey overseas. We are not responsible for any loss or damage that occurs to orders that are forwarded to other countries by a third party shipping company. We are only responsible for the safe delivery of the package to the destination listed as the "Ship to" address on your order. Any problems beyond that point must be claimed with the third party shipping company. If the shipment arrives to the shipping company in a damaged state, the shipping company will need to refuse the package at that point or contact us before sending the order out.
